Medical-Dental Home podcast

20 minute podcast on the Medical-Dental Home

Medical Home is a current approach to improve health care outcomes while reducing costs that is based on the notion that there should be an provider who is involved with every aspect of patient care. Oral health is missing from the current medical home concept. We believe that oral care is integral to understanding the complete patient. In this podcast, which is an adaptation from the full article, Medical Home News, May 2009, Vol 1, Number 3, discusses the idea of Medical Dental Home, why it is necessary, and what the current challenges are.
