Research Interests: Elucidation of regulatory networks of genes and the interaction between genotype and phenotype using a variety of bioinformatics techniques.
Current Projects:

Automated knowledge discovery using a variety of machine learning and signal processing techniques

The biological questions studied are signaling pathways in neurological development, etiology of diabetes, pathogenesis of muscular dystrophy, mechanisms of cardiomyopathy, predictors of risk for asthma and tumorigenesis. See

The development of a variety of infrastructural components to allow safe and effective sharing of clinical data. This has included efforts within and across institutions using system architectures that abstract away the details of the underlying information systems and provide the functionality of a longitudinal medical record.
